Solutions / Cultivators

Your finished packages, reconciled from your side and the retailer's.

Today Smoke Alarm works at the package level. For a cultivator that means the finished packages you hold and ship: their inventory state, the reconciliation between Metrc and your own records, and the evidence when a retailer disputes a delivery. Plant and batch tracking is designed and on the roadmap, and this page says so rather than pretending otherwise.

Where it goes wrong today

The operational problems, not the scare stories.

  • A retailer reports a short or wrong package weeks after the transfer, and the only record is a phone call.
  • Finished-package counts in the vault drift from Metrc between transfers, and nobody notices until the next one.
  • Inventory that has been quarantined, returned or destroyed is tracked in a different place from inventory that is for sale.
  • Every dispute with a customer starts from scratch because there is no shared record of the delivery.
  • The plant side of the operation is on a separate system entirely, so the same tag is typed in twice.
How Smoke Alarm helps

What it does for you today, and what is still ahead.

Each card carries the honest status of the capability it rests on. Nothing on the roadmap is sold as live.

  • Every package you hold carries a state and every movement is an attributed, timestamped entry: available, reserved, quarantined, returned, recalled, destroyed.

  • Metrc's active packages against your own records and your physical count, package by package, with a reproducible report. Reads only; never writes to Metrc.

  • Inputs, packaging and returned product checked against the manifest at your own dock, with holds for anything short, extra or wrong.

  • When your retail customers run Smoke Alarm, a refusal, short delivery or expiration return reaches you on a secure link with the evidence attached, so the conversation starts from the same record.

  • The append-only log and the fingerprinted binder cover your package inventory the same way they cover a retailer's.

  • Plant and batch tracking

    Planned

Plant tags, stage moves, harvests and transformations. Designed, not built. Shown here so you can plan; it is not sold as live.

  • Outbound manifests and transfers

    Planned

Creating and verifying the outbound transfer before the truck leaves. Smoke Alarm reads incoming transfers today; the outbound side is on the roadmap.
